This is Utah law.
(ii)An individual may sit on a backward-facing stern seat of a v-drive vessel while an individual is behind the vessel if:

(A)	the vessel is a v-drive vessel with the propeller underneath the vessel;

(B)	the individual sitting in the seat is 16 years old or older;

(C)	the vessel is operating at less than 15 miles per hour; and

(D)	the vessel's engine is built on or after July 1, 2017, or the vessel has installed a surf pipe or other extended exhaust system that puts exhaust in the water while under power.

That's kinda of mind blowing though, what an insanely specific law for the government to spend time on.
They won't even do that in the Live Free or Die state. Utah is wild place.

The Nautique FB page is a dumpster fire. I guess Nautique just needs sales figures to justify the direction of the market.

Well, I just got out of the reveal event and dinner, and I really like the boats.

I'm taking one out tomorrow morning, and I'll post more about it after that.

My favorite thing is the better board storage that these boats have.

You can fit tons of boards in the storage areas, and they have a file cabinet type holder system. It is really cool. Now board racks are optional since you can store so many boards in the compartments. You can also now store four boards on top of the bimini!

I dunno man, the board storage under the seats on my P23 isn't great, and that new style doesn't look much better. The racks should be STANDARD at that price, as should everything else. The new front end, I'm not sure on yet, overall I'm not initially excited about this enough to seriously think about upgrading. Maybe, but not yet.
