Good grief, what a bunch of whiners. Correct me if I'm wrong but Nautique still offers other lines that are lower in price? Just because they offer a top of the line boat, doesn't mean you need to buy it. You guys are acting like they did away with the regular G series, GS line and S series? This is very typical of what we see everywhere online and in the news nowadays...it's not your cup of tea or you can't afford it, so let's tear it down and resent everyone who does buy it. I wakeboard 4-5 days per week (sometimes every day depending on my kids sports schedules) and my little guy is getting quite good at surfing and wakeboarding. I am considering this Paragon for a lot of reasons. The list of things included is pretty awesome...plus the weight of the boat with supplemental ballast should throw an epic wave and wake. The telescoping tower will be an amazing upgrade for me, especially since I keep my boat on a lift in a boathouse that has a second story. I'm not rich but I cut out other things in my life simply because this is more important to me. I've honestly also considered a Centurion simply based on wave and wake quality. I love my G23 fit/finish however, and that would be hard to part ways with. I recently finished cancer treatment and have learned this life is too short and you never know when it will throw a curveball. I can't take the money with me, so while I may not be here for a long time, I will certainly have a good time...which includes all the wonderful memories my family has on the water.

Everyones great honest input with a added flair of satirical humor, I like it. No whining, just clean fun thoughts and opinions.
There isn't one of us out there that when our rich Uncle (I don't have one) passed away, and as they read the will, "and to my favorite Nephew Scooter I bequest my 2024 Paragon, complete with board racks and 2 custom throw pillows", would say, ummm, no thanks. For most of us the price point isn't practible, justifiable, or even doable. For other's this is a month's worth of interest and dividends, can I write you a check, or do you want a couple bags of hundred dollar bills. FireBreathingRubberDucky, I will jump a plane to ride the wave on your new Paragon, let me know when it comes in. I wouldn't pass a ride behind your '21 G for that matter, lol. Thanks in advance, best in your journey forward...

I can appreciate what you are saying…and I could also tell the comments that were just sarcastic. However, there was also plenty of whining going on from other folks. Some seem down right pissed. I love the guy with the Ri245 blaming Paragon folks for wrecking docks, as though his boat doesn’t throw an ocean wave and has plenty of owners who also demonstrate poor boating etiquette.

I’m digging the drawer! I’ll have to admit that’s pretty slick.

First off, this is a semi-public forum, so whining IS allowed.
Second, I don't think anyone could argue that Nautique keeps knocking it out of the park with their designs and engineering. Aesthetics aside this boat is an amazing example of engineering and ingenuity. This is the flagship boat for Nautique and as such it has a price tag that keeps it beyond that of the typical wakeboarding family. This is the gold standard of wake boats and isn't designed for the average wakeboarding family, . Nautique has always been the "Cadillac" of boats, now they're building boats that are in Rolls Royce territory. They're moving the wake boat market up and in so doing they're pricing the average joe out of their boats. I think the real issue here is the feeling that Nautique is pouring a ton of money into R&D for boats that are beyond the reach of the average family and neglecting the market that got them to this point. But then Nautique is in the business of making money, if they see a market why shouldn't they try to capture it? They'll sell a ton of these boats, and just as I do when I pass by the multi million dollar second homes of the people who will buy them, I'll look and admire and rest comfortably in the knowledge that while they may have gold toilets, mine still flush the same, and while they may have custom throw pillows on their boat, mine will give me the same amount of enjoyment. I used to put on amateur wakeboard tournaments and was asked what the best wake boat was, my answer was always the same - I have two requirements 1) it floats, 2) it runs, beyond that it's all gravy, the fact that you're on the water having fun with your family and friends is really all that matters and you can do that in any boat.

So now that I've had a week or so to look at the new Paragon, as a current P23 owner I had been asking myself over the last few months "what would I like to see changed about this boat, or what do I think they could make better to really raise the bar?" and I never could really think of anything. That said, now that I've seen this new one, I don't know, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the changes, especially for an extra $100k over my 2021 P23 price tag. I haven't seen where they said the running surface of the hull was changed or any of the NSS/NCRS so aside from it being a bit heavier and the optional ballast, the wave should be pretty much the same (I'm assuming). The extra 30 HP on the engine doesn't mean much to me either... I guess I'm just left trying to see the extra value for the price increase as a guy who's already in a Paragon. I think it looks really nice, but I also think the 20-23 Paragon looks fantastic still too.

LOL! I even got a caps lock "IS!" I never said it wasn't allowed. Doesn't change the fact I can critique the whining. Have fun floating on the water my friend.

I will say one thing about this new Paragon. Wowza!!! True story....about two weeks ago my oldest recently married daughter was getting ready to surf. She asked me....where can I put my wedding ring while i'm in the water. I stuck it in my Costa case. Fast forward a couple of weeks and BAM DOG Dighty....the Paragon now has a RING drawer!!!! A ring storage drawer. I'm still numb. I sent my daughter the pic right away and she asked.."What color is your new P23 going to be?" In all seriousness...I am getting this boat just for the light up logo on the outside of the hull. Who else has done that??? Really..lighted logo on the outside of the boat. I'm sold.

My only problem with the price of the paragon is that they’ll raise the G23 price over $300k and it will still seem “reasonable” in comparison to the P.
