We definitely have several G’s at our lake and yes most surf, tube or just hang out. We were able to hitch a ride in a 2018 a few weeks back and the owner said we were the only people to wakeboard behind it. Unfortunately the prices keep some of the hardcore enthusiasts out of them. The wakes are amazing. I wonder what the actual cost to build one is? Any idea? A dealer recently told me a 2024 would have a 3% cost increase. That seems low compared to what some others have seen.

Kmayotte All my kids picture learned to ski and and drive our 1976 13 ft Whaler before they became adults. My first boat as a teenager before we restored it for our children to use and ski behind many decades later.

That's awesome, GMLIII. Our 11-year old loves to cruise around in the "little boat". Our rule is that the kids can take it out alone once they can start it by themselves--with a mid-80's Evinrude, it's no gimme.

Here's our 9-year old captaining for me. She can't get it started yet, so she's stuck with Dad.

I looked at Heyday close up a couple of years ago at the local boat show. Probably the most awkward boat design I have ever seen. It was just weird. And the cushion / upholstery quality was just...horrible. Maybe they've gotten better in the last few years but I walked away thinking anyone who buys one is nuts...

Give me that $70k and I'll buy a nicely loved used Nautique, Mastercraft, Supra, Centurion, Tige, Malibu..you name it...before I'd ever purchase a Heyday.

1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)
1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)

SilentSeven I agree the Heyday brand is just garbage.

If you want a stripped down G just wait another 10 years until the 1st gen G’s are getting fire saled because all the Linc screens have failed and put your own gauges in.
