What yr g23

So dollar for dollar what’s the best yr for a g23. Obviously the newer the better but if you were looking on a budget,for straight up wakeboarding and occasional surf set what yr and options should I be looking for? Please give reasons

“Cheapest” - 15 (last model before hull update for surfing, early bugs worked out)

“Value” - 21 (newest hull and upgrades but pre newest towers so least expensive)

“Next value” - 18 (pre power tower price increase)

For wakeboarding and occasional surf? It really doesn’t matter. The 2013 didn’t have the 2:1 gearing yet for some engines but otherwise the wakeboarding has been dialed in from day 1. The surf is slightly better on the 2016-2020 hull vs the 2013-2015. The 2021+ hull is significantly better for surf.

But if you want best value for wakeboard wake, you’ll get just as good if not better wake from a G21. The surf wave on a G21 isn’t as good though. It has a good shape but is pretty short by modern standards.
