Nautique Surf Select Epix 2 Pro compatibility

    Hi guys,
did anyone reach to Nautique to find when Surf Select will be compatible with the new Garmin Epix 2 Pro?
Just upgraded and thought that it would work easily as I had a Fenix 7 X .
    Thanks

It's not compatible with the non pro version. Ive had my Epix 2 for over a year waiting on the Nautique app. It does not show that watch as compatible. Not sure if ever will. I have a Fenix 6 Ive used before but it seems to drop in and out of connection. I dont know if its the boat or the watch.

boomersooner, FWIW, I have a Fenix 6 Pro that works well at Surf distances. I haven't tried it for wakeboarding--I can't imagine it would work at that distance.

Thanks, I had a Fenix 6 X Pro and a 7 X which worked fine at wakesurf distance. Now that the Epix 2 Pro is similar to the Fenix 7 Pro in term of functions and size I expect a lot of people like me to switch from the Fenix to the Epix due to the Amoled screen. Hopefully Nautique will upgrade the compatibility to the Epix range. Cheers.

The Epix is a game changer for sure. I'd like the new Pro version but cant justify it right now since my Epix 2 works just fine.

xrichard - mine drops in and out at surf distance. It seems the bluetooth is constantly looking for a connection. Bums me out because it is such a cool feature when it works.

Yes, actually the 6 was the one with best Bluetooth connection, the 7 was dropping at times while surfing. I guess I won’t know for a while for the Epix. The game changer is the fact that with a bigger size (51mm) Garmin was able to put a larger battery and it is now up to 11 days in a full mode and close to 30 days on an on/off set up.

I had to buy a new boat to find out my watch works fine . The connection issue was with the boat and not the watch. Took the new boat out yesterday and the watch worked perfectly. So nice not getting the constant buzzing on my wrist informing me of a lost connection. I also found out I have a Fenix 5 and not a 6 like I thought. It's been a while since I've worn it.

FYI, the list of compatible Garmin watches has been now updated and Surf Select is available for the Epix 2 Pro.

well that's good. I bought the Epix 2 Pro back in December and it was not compatible back then so I sent it back and got the Fenix 7X. I would have kept the epix (or even got the tactix for the Applied ballistics app) if they were compatible.

All, I own a 2016 G23 with the old Surf Select and Pebble watch. I recently futzed with that watch, rendering it dead. Therefore, I went to my local dealer to purchase the Surf Select 3.0 that NautiqueJeff f instructed. I installed it myself. It is an easy install. There is a YouTube video on this forum on how to do it yourself. Again, very easy.

I can confirm that this upgrade works exactly as expected. I can confirm that the Surf Select 3.0 will work with a 2016 G23 and will work with the older Garmin Fenix 5xPro and newer Garmin Epix Pro Gen2. I am very relieved.

My only small gripe is that the Garmin app does not have a skip forward, backward and pause for song tracks. I sent a note through the Garmin app download page for Surf Select. There is a place for adding comments. I asked for the track change functionality. I got a response directly from Nautique about it. My comments will be forwarded to their developer. Therefore, I ask you all to please also send a separate note to add this functionality to show that it is a needed function by more people than me.

Hope this is helpful to all.
