The new Paragon is unbelievable, it’s Perfection!

I had the pleasure of driving the new paragon this evening. This thing is truly amazing. Spent a few hours behind the wheel and I still can’t believe what a perfect machine it is. The attention to every single detail is truly unparalleled. It handled like it was, well I don’t know what it handled like because I can’t even put it into words. The functionality of every inch of the boat is amazing. I pulled Adam Wensink at 100% ballast in the rear and bow and 65% middle with four people and the wake was the size of a mountain. I pulled my daughter with no ballast at all and the wake was huge and perfect. The size of my G boat!!! I couldn’t believe when I heard the cost but I can tell you that once you see it and touch it and drive it, it makes sense. It is more than I could ever imagine a wakeboard boat could be. I was stunned to see no board racks but I guess those that buy this boat don’t wakeboard. What a shame because that is what it was so perfectly built for!!! But no worries there was plenty of room and ingenious ways to store your boards. Our crew had no Interest in the surf wave but I’m sure it is as just as impressive as everything else was. Truly a world class boat by a world class company. I can’t think of a more impressive vehicle land, air, or sea. Wow. Just wow!!!!!!

I love the boats I have. Just couldn’t believe that I could see and feel why it costs so much. Truly a shame wakeboardsrs won’t have them.

teethbyheath You do understand that the strapless board racks are an option on the new Paragons, correct? They mount right up to the mounting points in the tower, and can be selected as an option when you order one.

Of course I am aware that you can put board racks on it. It doesn’t come with board racks. Came with lots of places for surf boards though. And the reason it doesn’t come with board racks is because people complained about hitting docks with them. Like I said too bad people who know what this boat was made for aren’t the ones who have them.

That's not the main reason. Really doesn't matter though. It just sounded like you didn't think they were even an option.

Just curious do you have any input or inside knowledge when a new boat is being designed? We’ve got to see some pretty cool stuff over the years as far a design and features before the general public. I’ve been fortunate to attend some private model launches. We hosted the very first tournament that a G boat pulled. At one point I owned the first 220. Greg said he chose the colors so I’d buy it from him and he was right. Ended up having to give me a new one because the hull had issues when they used it to make the final
production mold. In the late 90s I actually came up with some ideas they incorporated. Great friend of mine has modified a lot of things that ended up being in the first true wakeboard boats. Has been so cool to see these boats change over the years. I understand the position Nautique is in as the leader but you have to agree it’s sad that the athletes that deserve these boats can never afford them. **** even a HEYDAY costs six figures these days. I’m blessed and my children are blessed to get to ride behind and in these boats. We’ve done or best over the years to get kids behind these boats. Many times the only chance they will ever have.

With all of the positive feedback, we ended up changing our G23 order to a P23. Got all of the options except for the throw pillows haha.

I’m a little leery spending so much without having ridden one, but hopefully we are happy. We mostly surf but still wakeboard some.

how was engine noise compared to a G? I don’t have a firm delivery date yet but hoping it’ll be by November.

Engine noise is less, compared to a regular G. The extra seat sections on the back quiet it down quite a bit. Same thing with the older Paragons compared to regular G boats.

Well, for nearly half a million it should basically come with a driver... I'm not knocking it - they are amazing.. But for that coin they really ought to be.. The ocean going vessel you can buy for about half of that is pretty nice, and maybe twice as long..
