Pocket door 100%. The slide system is great, no rattling or movement in either the opened or closed position. They did a great job with it. Coming from the slide-in door in my 2018, moving to the pocket door was a great upgrade.

Slide in doors suck. Pocket doors all the way, well worth the added expense. Can be added later but not an easy task in addition, the costly gelcoat repair.

I had to look around to understand what a slide in door is, because I would say we have a slide in pocket door.
        Now I get it: https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...ide-in-air-dam
I wasn't sold on the pocket door at 1st, but it actually has a multitude of usable functions, from weather/wind break, isolating the rug rats in the front of the boat from the rest of the herd, time out cage, and rolling down the road keeping boards from blowing out of the boat (haven't lost one yet at give or take 70 mph). When not in use, out of sight out of mind.

Pocket, mainly because the slide in laying around somewhere is annoying, second the channel for slide in you can hit with toes, etc.

Note on the newer models the pocket door is no longer “noisy.”

I had the slide in an never used it. Our new G doesnt have one at all. I doubt we will miss it.

With our afternoon breezes and high country temps, the pocket door gets non-stop use. Along with the seat heaters and heater blower! I imagine it's a whole different story down in TX though.

I've had both--slide in on a 2015 G23 and pocket on a 2023. In 2015, I got the slide in because I was afraid the pocket door would rattle. Turns out the slide in squeaked and was also a bit of a pain to use--so it only got used in the winter months. With the pocket door on my current boat, we use it all the time (e.g. in the mornings when it's cool or any time we want less noise / wind in the cockpit). And it's not noisy at all. I didn't think I'd use it much since I don't go out a lot when it's cold, but it turns out it gets tons of use because it really does make things quieter and nicer in the cockpit.
