    2023 Nautique G25

I have searched quite a bit and there is very little info on post 2021 G25’s. I am considering a trade from a 2019 G23. Can anyone discuss the surf wake, rough water ride and any other details for or against especially in comparison to a 2021 or later G23. I also have some concerns the 450 HP engine is a bit small. Boat will be run at 800 feet elevation.
    Thanks!

Different year, however, we are running the H6 450 HP in our '16.
I noticed a little more drag up time on a wakeboard at one of the summer lakes we hit with an elevation around 6000'. Full ballasts and full gas, 8 people. You could tell the power plant was working to get up to cruise speed, but did a fine job just the same. Running the stock prop, and should probably switch out to a high elevation prop, but don't do it enough that it's that big of deal. Surfing was phenomenal at that elevation. You'll be dragging a little more weight with the G25. More power is always nice, but it's the 3 page conversation of efficiency vs gas consumption.
I think the '21s were light on ballast, with upgrades available. Someone else can chime in on that...

Info on G25’s with the new hull is sure hard to find. I wonder how many G25’s are built in comparison to G23’s? I have found exactly one test report and they were using it as a yacht tender!

Can’t speak for the G25, but the ZZ6 gets me on plane to wakeboard speed as quickly as the XR7 did in my 2015 G23. And definitely faster than the raptor in my SL450.

I've had a 21 G25, and have a 22 now and live on LKN. The boat handles rough water great and the wave is much better than any prior model G25 or G23 BUT you do need to add lead to the 21 Model year. I had 900 pounds and the wave was awesome as tall and as long as you would want it. I've ran with 450hp in all my prior G25s and never had a problem but I think that really will depend on crew size. I am toying with another prop based on great information from this site but haven't done so yet. Hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
