Replacing Carpet with SeaDek

I’ve got an 04’ SANTE that I’m replacing the carpeting. I’ve been told they can’t install SeaDek flooring bc the floor under the carpet isn’t finished. Also bc the carpet goes up the wall they’d have to install SeaDek up the sides as well. Does anyone know if the under carpet on an 04’ is simply fiberglass that can be cleaned or is it too difficult to do? Thanks in advance

Here's how the 1998 Ski Nautique SeaDek turned out. It looked really good, but was a lot of work.

SeaDek looks great when new, but when it gets worn it’s really a huge amount of work to replace. I prefer Deckadence which is much easier to install and keep clean than either carpet or SeaDek. It also doesn’t hold water like carpet. And since it doesn’t stick down. You can install it over the raw fiberglass under your carpet without a lot of refinishing and gelcoat.

Search Deckadence its been discussed a number of times. It's a different look but awesome stuff but you may still need Jeff's help cleaning up the areas that would not be covered.
