    Cover Fastening

Having a CoverSource cover, which is great on the highways due to its fastening system consisting of a hook that runs under the rub rail, had me thinking about improved cover attachments. I had a cockpit fly cover on a Tiara. At the rear rub rail, the cover had circular grommets and the rail had a small, something like 1/8" hole. You lined up the grommet and rail hole and inserted a straight stainless pin. The outer end of the pin is looped so it can be attached to the cover and pushed in or pulled out easily. It was the best connection ever. I wish I had a picture.

Oh...just found a picture to go with my 3rd grade drawing. The pins have a bungee to hold them to the cover when stowed so they don't get dropped or lost. It was so easy and incredibly secure.
