    2022+ G23 Driving Settings

    2022+ G23 Driving Settings

    New to Nautique and getting a brand new 2023 G23 in a couple weeks. I was curious if there are general driving around the lake settings or if its a preset?

    Also, do most people use the rider pre sets for the surfing and boarding or create their own?

    Settings for tubing?

    Well riding around the lake you most certainly don't want any ballast. Make sure that's all empty. You'll most likely use the preset "Back to Dock" which is zero ballast and the speed control set to 25mph.

    The rider presets are a good place to start, but you'll likely change them.

      G23 = Tubing = Whaaaat?

      9 Grandkids, I'm that guy, again. Love pulling a tube with our G, best tube puller I ever owned, lol. I run about 30% in the bow, and then switch between port & starboard filling & dumping just to mix the wake up a little. Then the next step is to start hucking dollar bills over the side as you use your gas gauge as your speedometer

        You'll get a feel for it pretty quick but for general cruising I stay in Back to Dock. That's no ballast and max speed 25mph. The ballast levels on the default presets are pretty good for surfing and wakeboarding. One thing I love about my G23 is that we don't need to change ballast levels when surfing regular vs goofy. And the settings are easy enough that we just use the default surf setting and then set the speed, wave shape, and side for each rider. Wakeboarding is a little tricker just because it can wash on one side with a larger crew. I still use the default presets but also use ballast shift to clean up the wake when that happens. For tubing I do no ballast and no speed control.

        tldr: Setting up using the default presets and tweaking from there is all we ever do.
