Just want to get everyone's opinion on which fender style is overall best with regards to protection, easy of deployment, tear down, etc. This is for the purpose of in boat at the beach boat tying or tying to the dock while we go up to eat.

We have been using these for years and they have not damaged our gel coat (black) or bubble letters:

We do not tie up to docks or other boats for extended periods (more than a few hours) or in rough water, however.

I've been using the Mission Delta fenders and they work fairly good. The best part of them is the size/shape with allows them to be store fairly easily. I would love to have the 10' log on each side of the boat while rafting but the size/weight would take up way too much room in my small boat. This has been the problem forever. For those with surf ships, it may not be a problem. For smaller ski boats it's a non-starter.

We run the Ronix inflatables. Multi use bumpers, the grandkids love them for a flotation device, and beating each other over the head, also make for a great pillow a little deflated. The large are too large, more yacht worthy. I would go with the small units next time. Their isn't anything touching the side of the boat when they're completely inflated.

Naw, similar in shape, but not material. The Ronix are more comparable to an inflatable tow tube, vinyl insert with a tough nylon cover. You can completely deflate them. I've run the TaylorMade's before, they are tough like a battleship. Kids hit each other over the heads with one of those and you're down for the count and in concussion time out. lol.
