I was told that they were to raise and lower the rear deck on the 01 & 02 Nautiques. My friend had a 01 Ski Nautique the rear back of the seat used to raise up to reveal storage if you got the option thoes were the buttons that would make the seat go up.
I bet if you got the retractable stearn light thoes are the buttons that would opperate it

It was used in 2000 and 2001 to lift and lower the rear sundeck on the vdrives. They just didn't change the keypad until 03.

My buddys 2000 sport - raises / and lowers the rear sundeck, (kinda a pain if you need to get to the motor and the battery is dead)
My 02 Super Air - we call it "TAPS", (does nothing)The person who said \"Money can\'t buy happiness\" never rode behind an \"OLD\" 210.

I have the retractable stern light on my '02 SANTE, and love it. One less thing to store when we are on the water, and one less thing to get out when the sun goes down. I also find it interesting that it can flash SOS if you hit the button twice.
I also have the "TAPS" buttons. I was hoping I could make them fan switches for a heater when i install one, but I still need to figure out the wiring to the original button.
How does the heater fan know what speed to run in, just by the number of times the button is pressed?

The up and down keys on the pad were first for the SSPN hatch lid, when that went away it was used for the SN stern seat. The wires for that function remained in the boat (SN) until 02 (I think?)
The key pad is wired for all options that can be ordered from CC, if you have a heater installed it would be wired to the heater button because it has the 4 wires needed for the heater... Red = High, Orange = Med. Yellow = Low, Black = Ground
Al wiring is found behind the kickboard of the drivers seat until 2003, now all boats come pre-wired for every option other than the ballast pump system.
Hope all this helped
