    Registration Sticker Surprise

I got new tags for the boat, rather than apply over the old tag I decided to take it off. Now it has me wondering, was the last time this boat was registered really 2010? 2009 210 with 140 hours on the 6.0L. My gut is telling me yes.

Maybe prior owner had taken some old registrations stickers off before you purchased the boat ?

Maybe, but if he was going to remove the stickers I feel like he would remove all of them, not just all but 1. But who knows. Would explain why a 2009 boat would only have 130 hours on it.

Boats Bros The reason I made the post is because this is exactly what I did on my 1976 restored 13 ft Boston Whaler. It had about 8 stacked outdates registration stickers and it was easier to just remove the stickers on top of each other vs removing the last one adhered to the actual fiberglass surface.

I'm funny about reg stickers...don't like 'em stacked as I think they look janky especially if they don't perfectly line up.

I remove the old one each year with a heat gun prior to putting the new one on.

Another option at least around here is that he didn't register it for a couple years. Sounds crazy but I know a couple people on private lakes were no DNR or cops visit the lake and people just don't register the their boats.

+1 to what bturner says. That's the most likely explanation.
