I'm not familiar with the 210, but I have worked on the Ski Nautique of the same year. So take this in that context and the assumption that the boats use similar technology. That's typical across the Nautique line of boats of the same year.

On the latest generation Ski Nautique the hydrogate actuator, as well as the micro-tuner actuators, are controlled directly via the CanBus. And since you're asking about about the water temp sensors, which also sends its data over the CanBus I suspect there is more than coincidence here. The water temp sensor is part of the AirMar temp / depth biducer which is typically mounted in a thru-hull sleeve right in front of the engine. I've worked on multiple cases where that biducer has failed in such a way that it blocks communications on the CanBus. You should see if the hydro-gate actuator starts working if you unplug the AirMar biducer. If so, your original actuator is likely fine. Those actuators are crazy expensive. Especially if you buy them from Nautique instead of directly from Thomson.
