New to the forum and on the hunt for a early/mid-2000s Nautique Sport/206/216 with room for the family and good/decent slalom wake. There are a couple boats I'm considering, one is at Lake Norman (1.5hr drive from me so it takes some advanced planning). I'm looking for recommendations anyone might have for someone who could help look over the boat and inspect it during a test drive - would be compensated (suggestions on amount would be helpful as well). I know Race City Marine is a dealer and might have contacts, but thought I'd reach out here.
I know how to drive and ski behind inboards but never owned one and not sufficiently experienced to know exactly what to look for - I've seen checklists etc but would prefer to have an experienced mechanic/owner assist.
