We’re ready to buy a boat and are looking for a Sport 200 or a 216 V drive. Sport 200s are easier to find, but in reading through posts a 216v seems like the best option for public lakes due to hull shape. How much difference will we notice wakeboarding and wake surfing behind a 200 vs a 216? How similar is the wake to a 210 (I rode a lot behind a 2001 SANTE 210). Preference of sports for me is 1. Wakeboard, 2. Ski 3. Surf 4. Barefoot. Husband is 1. Ski 2. Wakesurf. We have 3 young kids (5,3 & 1) so are looking for the unicorn crossover boat. We plan to use the boat in Montana and Utah (lake Powell)

I've been looking at those models & specs as well. I did own a 200 and my neighbor has a 200V.
I have not seen a 216V, and they are rarer only made 2010-11?, according to the spec XLS chart
Here's my quick take:
200V
Cut-up running surface of 200 hull is messy imo, not efficient as well
But handles well and can knife through chop
Steering? Mine was a bit funky, had a big counterweight on it.
Not as roomy feeling, but 95" beam is nice
Slaloms in a different league than any other V-drive.
Add extra ballast, ppl and a gate, wave shape might surprise.
Super nice looking boat in the right colors
20 feet tidy package
216V
Heavier, more roomy?
If you like a bigger boat and want to retire the skis
Freeboard (how bad is the lake?)
Is a bigger "stock" wake no doubt
Side walk through, I like them but because it's asymmetrical, I think styling OCD discontinued the layout, going that center route now.
200 is a scramble over rear deck
Slalom is likely going to be painful - hitting a curb through the wakes at say 28off 30+mph.
