PCM's New Fluid Line

I haven't seen a spec sheet yet, but rumor is that these fluids will be the new recommendations for ALL PCM engines going forward. One weight oil (10w-40) synthetic for all engines. Other new fluids as well. These are all created specifically for PCM by AMSOIL. Once I get the spec sheet, I'll update this thread.

Important to note that not all 10w40 is graded to replace the 5w30, just this specific pleasurecraft formulation

I really like that idea, an incredible solution!
Acquisition phase of life, I have way too many toys to keep track of. Spreadsheets & labels.
Wait I can't remember, does that go in the boat or the hydro-drive for the lawn mower, hmm?

I just hope there aren't issues that come up with people running full synthetic in engines that have been running conventional oil for thousands of hours. PCM always recommended against synthetics until the last oil bulletin (the Dexos 1 Gen 2 bulletin). We'll see what they say when they release the full information on these new fluids.

How much would you recommend to a 6 qt oil change? Would you start with the Cayenne, or the Dill?

Honestly... once the warranty is gone does it really matter what they say to run other than for peace of mind??? I've run the recommended weight conventional oil until the last few years when I switched to Valvoline 10W-40 VR1 conventional for the added zinc. On a 21 year old engine I don't see any reason to change now or ever for that matter.

The components, specs, tolerances, and demand have all changed with their new line of engines so it makes sense for those engines to changeover possibly, but not us older customers IMHO.
