Delivery Expectations of a new G25

Brand new to the forum and new to Nautique ownership. After many years of purchasing used MC I finally pulled the trigger and purchased not only my first ever new boat but also my first Nautique. Delivery of the boat has been less than a good experience. Full disclosure, the G25 is a left over 2024 model if that matters. After taking delivery of the boat i discovered many issues like chrome badges and logos not fully attached, blemishes in the gelcoat that the dealer is now telling me must be taken back down to fiberglass and patched, no portable fire extinguisher on the boat, etc. I would like to hear about others delivery experience and what finish quality of what is supposed to be a superior product should be expected. I purchased the boat in January and now the season is here but my new boat is in the shop. It feels like a bought a car off the show room floor and took is straight to a body shop for repairs. Should a new boat require fiberglass patches? I look forward to any information on is this normal?
    Thanks

Welcome to the forum, sorry about the bad experience but no, it's not normal. I'd make sure your dealer understands your frustration and has the sense of urgency given the season is starting. That said dealer relationship can make or break your experience, give them a shot to make it right, but communicate with them that you have some concerns and would like honest and open communication during this process. The flaws likely are not their fault, this sounds like issues from the plant, so give them a shot... if they screw up, time for a difficult conversation with them.

How many hours were on it? If it was test driven a number of times, the decals and chromax letters can get beat up from docking the boat. A new boat should not require gelcoat work. Are the gelcoat blemishes above or below the water line? Pictures would help. Did they not disclose or point out the defects when you bought it or took delivery?
