Most of the tower speakers I see are hung on the bottom of the tower. I have seen a few mounted on top. What is the best way??? and why. I am tall and it would be nice not to hit my head everytime I stand up.

I think mounting them on the bottom keeps them in the running lines of the boat. You'll just have to be careful and remember there hang down -
My tower speakers are mounted under the tower. I would believe the rope would interfere if the speakers were mounted on the top..........especially if doing a boat "o" (whipping the wakeboarder around the boat)......and we have been known to do that...........

I think it is just a personal preference. I am 6'2" and I have to be careful when I stand up (if the bimini isn't up), but I like the look of the speakers being on the underside of the tower. Here's a shot of mine:
I do think that AirNautiqueRider226's 226 looks pretty good with the speakers mounted above the tower.

You can't fold a 226 tower with the speakers underneath?? Weird. I'm surprised that hasn't been mentioned before. I can fold my tower with the speakers in place without a problem. love it. The boat tester people at the dealership say its the best boat they have ever test-rode. I love it though. I have not got a chance to wakeboard behind it yet though.- - - _______

Hey, Does anyone know the details on the 211 with speakers on the rack? I just ordered the boat and did not think of folding the tower down and speakers hitting. The tower will be folded down alot during travel and in the lift.Comment
