    Why are you having the tower down during travel? It should be up during travel. Otherwise it will bounce all over the deck. As far as I know, you are fine mounting the speakers underneath on both the 211 and 226. It isn't any different once it lays down on the deck.

        I tow with the tower up or down. When down, I wrap the grabrails in the front with a "sheepskin" seatbelt comfort strip to keep the metal from banging each other. I do this to reduce the wind load on the towed load to increase mileage during long tows. Short trips it just stays up.

          Under. I had a boat mounted with them over, and the rope got tangled in them all the time. Only option on top to keep this from happening is to mount them on top on the front of the tower bar, not the back.
