Dave, I love the chrome wheel wells. I need to do that on my 07 prestige. Those new Prestige trailers are the bomb. It is my best trailer of all that I have had, including the ramlins.

No, never heard a complaint at any tournament or from anyone I ski with. The jumpers are constantly complimenting it though. There are lots of pb's behind it in slalom and jump. Alternating between my 6 liter and another 06 with a 5.7 I couldn't tell any difference earlier in the year, but after putting the last PerfectPass chip in mine, (no chip change in the 5.7), I could tell a difference between the boats, not that either one felt hard or soft or better or worse, just different. It would be nice if they could get the chips dialed in early in the year so there was only one version and all the boats had the same version.

I agree, Prestige has come a long way and they are really pretty good trailers now. The stainless fenders look good and you don't get any rock chips and rusty spots as in painted fenders. They also now have a good swing tongue with the coupler flush mounted at last. LED lights are standard, lazer cuts for the tailights (I just wish they could say "Nautique" instead of "BTV"). oil bath hubs, torsion axles, and they will make the bow stop the right width for a boat buddy (even though they will not put one on).

I'm drooling on my keyboard. Great picture, Dave.

Another question. Apart from the obvious access to the bow, what are everyone's thoughts on the walk through windshield panel versus a four piece? Any visibility issues one way or the other?

Didn't search before posting that one. Hope that hasn't been discussed to death already.

Obviously you will have one more frame blocking your view with the walk-through.

The regular windshield is only a 2-piece, the walkthrough is a 3-piece. It bothers me that the center panel on the walkthrough is not centered- must have been an issue with the mirror placement. I think the 2-piece is much better looking.

              Tim,

I wonder if that offset has anything to do with the dash pod/driver area size? I believe my walk thru is slightly off center on my 206. Regarding visibility, on my 206 never really felt the swing window was an issue, my mirror is in front of driver not on swing panel, always leave it open when it's hot. One negative is they do tend to come out of adjustment, typically tight at the top.

Ah, so it is a two piece versus three piece. I need to look more closely. Thanks for the info. Never noticed that they were off centered on the walk through.

My buddy has a 2001 SN with the walk through windshield. Nice option.

Have they always been off centered or is that a more recent phenominon?

It's off center on my 210 as well. Required to accommodate the size of the dash pod. BKH

I've heard from others with the walk through that they like the breeze on hot days. I seriously considered one this year, but like the way the standard windshield looks better and prefer my mirror in the center.

Anyone seen or been in a 196 with the diesel in it?

What's that? never heard about it.
I know MC is working here in Europe with a tournamente diesel boat. BU also did a Response with a diesel.

If CC release a diesel 196 I write my name in the waiting list of the boat right now.

Okay, here's another question. It seems that just about all of the 2006 196s I've seen on boat trader and elsewhere have composite platforms on them. I'm a teak lover. Presumably, I can get one from CC or have one made. Who makes CC's teak platforms for them?

Teak is an about $400.00 option this year. The teak platform trees have been overharvested.
