        Austin,
        The small boat industry typically uses a "statisical" average and will test 1 out of 3-10 boats depending on the builder and quality control. It's an even smaller number of cars built that are actually road tested prior to shipment.

            I think what you are seeing is the "padding" that is used to protect the new towers. The towers are covered in a foam padding to protect them until they get installed on the decks of the boats. They probably leave as much of the padding on to protect them while in transport.

              oh ok, its just that it comes off the tower, and points up. I only ask because I have seen another boat with a tower mounted boom that pivots off the tower, it would be great if it was..

                Malibu from CC factory for sale!

                I was goofing off tonight and think I found the Malibu 23 lsv that CC was using for their training meeting for sale at SECC;

                I guess that CC doesn't need to do much research on Bu's huh? :twisted:

                  RE: Malibu from CC factory for sale!

                  Just to know,at Malibu each plant tests every boat in the water before final preps are done. Calif. has a lake and TN uses a river/lake.Not sure about MC, but I am sure the same applies as there web site shows a lake. Stringers are plexiglassed (a type of bonding adhesive) into place and a layer of chopped glass is shot throughout the boat for strength and consistency. This is pretty consistent with all the boats. Gel coat thickness is a very important aspect of strength.

                    Bat, IMEO (in most expert's opinion) someone may be pulling your cape if they told you "gel coat thickness is a very important aspect of strength".

                      I went to FL a couple weeks ago and while I was there we went over and toured the factory. After going through the old one it sure was nice to see the new one and how clean and efficient the new one is! I really like how they have the five rows of boats going and how they have the workers assigned to just that specific line instead of jumping from one boat model to another. looks like it will be more efficient. They said that they are adding another line very soon, so that will bump production up a few more boats per day. Very nice facility!!
