CORRECT CRAFT ADDS WORLD SLALOM RECORD HOLDER CHRIS PARRISH TO TEAM NAUTIQUE

ORLANDO, FLA. (January 2, 2007) — Correct Craft, Inc. announced today the addition of current world slalom recorder holder Chris Parrish to its team of professional athletes. Correct Craft’s Team Nautique is comprised of top athletes in water skiing and wakeboarding from around the world.

Bill Yeargin, President/CEO for Correct Craft, Inc. said, "We are delighted to have Chris join our team. Aside from being a gifted athlete, he also demonstrates superior personal integrity. He’s the kind of person we like to have representing our company.

A Florida native, Parrish began skiing at the age of two and started competing at seven years of age. As an amateur, Parrish won 16 championships and broke seven records. In 1995, he began his professional career winning consistently and earning 19 championship titles. Parrish is the current holder of the Men’s World Slalom Record at 1.5@43-off and has been ranked the top Men’s Slalom skier on the IWSF ranking list since 2004.

"I am excited to be teaming up with such a great company that has been the leader in the ski boat industry since day one. Correct Craft is 100% committed to traditional water skiing. Moving to a Nautique is like going from a station wagon to a Mercedes Benz. Correct Craft is always looking to improve their boats and build them better. Nautiques truly go beyond excellence!" said Parrish.

Terry Dunagin, Vice President of Marketing for Correct Craft, Inc. said, "In addition to Chris’s exceptional technical abilities, his unique style and incredible feel for the water make him a real showman. His talent behind a Nautique is certain to set the bar even higher in the months and years to come."

Uhh those comments should cause a bit of a stir. Sounds like he didn't leave Malibu on friendly terms.

Quite a stir over on themalibucrew.com already. CP has been with Malibu a long time and now with him making the comparision between a Merc and a station wagon, wow! Not too bright if you ask me--burning bridges. Can't help but think there was a better way to make the transition in such a small niche industry.

I think the "station wagon" comparison is pretty lame anyway. He's comparing a "type" of car to a "brand" of car. Not apples to apples, and it sounds pretty uneducated. Almost all high-end makes have station wagon models. If CC's PR department came up with the line, they could have written it a little better for sure.

So his family has been skiing behind Nautiques, while Chris has been officially sponsored by Malibu... I thought that was weird, not surprised he's sponsored by CC now. Come on coach, spill the beans.

Hollywood, I was thinking the same thing regarding Coach's boat, either way like SGY said not the brightest move in any situation burning bridges along the way.

Joel, you crack me up while making a good point! Welcome back, hope you had a great Vacation!

you guys do know that Chris skied for Nautique a long time ago while Andy was in his prime. Then he went to Infinity and then to Malibu after that.

Well I hope he sets a new record behind a Nautique so MC has to quit using their ad about the skier that has to go home to a brand of boat he doesn't hold the record with. I think I saw it in the waterski BBG.

I thought the station wagon/benz comment was funny. I agree, it's not really a good thing to burn bridges... but as long as he's with CC he's set.

For that to happen G, he has only one chance to do it at a pro level stop- the Masters. Otherwise he will be left to setting records at pro stop behind the station wagon or the record holder. I agree that MC used poor taste in that ad. The real issue is that to set a record, the driver, boat and water conditions have to line up. I don't know any skiers who can set a record with out a lake or a driver and boat. Just to say a mfg has a world record boat is only a 1/3 of the story.
