For that to happen G, he has only one chance to do it at a pro level stop- the Masters. Otherwise he will be left to setting records at pro stop behind the station wagon or the record holder. I agree that MC used poor taste in that ad. The real issue is that to set a record, the driver, boat and water conditions have to line up. I don't know any skiers who can set a record with out a lake or a driver and boat. Just to say a mfg has a world record boat is only a 1/3 of the story.
Agreed, I hope your doing well and not freezing.

I'm going to have snow blocking my boat in until March! All the folks crying about drought conditions are going to complain about severe flooding this year.

Are you getting any sets in? Ski a few passes for me please!

It will not happen at the masters. It is always a wave tank at that lake.
Maybe he will get the CC boat draw for nats. But ski6 is right, CC needs a big ticket, record site to promote a big stop at. Right now they only have the masters.

I heard that they're trying to install some sort of wave absorbing device on the far side of Robin Lake over the winter. Maybe that will help the conditions there in the future.

Makes me wonder when they make the best slalom boat in the field, teamed up with the best skier, why don't they have the right event or events to pull off having the world record slalom boat. Somedays I just wonder about things to much.

But in the end, there are many R tourneys that are at some pretty sweet spots. If you wanted to chase a Title, I think it could be done. I know they pull Open Men at the Big Dawgs, so there are places to get at it.

Definitely not my favorite ad they've put out. Personally, I like the one with the mom laying out around the soccer ball while holding on to the stroller or the more recent one from last year shot over the skier's shoulder looking down the line at the boat. Just my dumb opinion though.

You are so right BKH. I am still very shocked that CC isn't really sponsoring Andy, especially for all he has done for the sport, let alone ski development as well as his input on CC hull designs. What would it say for CC if Andy is picked up by Malibu?? With his design of the MPD and the buzz around Radar, wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't seriously somehow get back into the tourny scene.

todda, am I missing something? Andy is still with CC isn't he? He's still in all thier ads and heavily involved in hull disign is he not? It's kinda hard to sponser someone who is no longer skiing professionally. I'm sure that if he does decide to come out of retirement, he'll still be with CC. I wouldn't be surprised if Andy was instrumental in signing CP!

His comments were definitely a slap in the balls to Malibu.

That MC ad is also quite tasteless.

We'll see what Andy does, I doubt he'll come back to tourney skiing. It's always sad seeing athletes stick around past their prime just for the "love of the game" and getting trampled on by the next generation.

Well, Andy did ski in a tournament in Diablo Shores, Ca in September (His wife grew up in the area) and for a retired old guy, he made the finals. Parrish on the other hand didn't qualify for the finals. BKH

I didn't mean that he's currently washed up, but it'll certainly be hard to tear himself away from skiing while he's still designing new sticks.

I saw Parrish win the US Open at Disney in Orlando and he said that he was still trying to get his new Monza dialed-in. He just switched to that in July or August I think. How ballsy is that-switching to a new stick in the middle of the season. Maybe this was a sponsor thing then already?????

                                Guys,

Andy is still with CC. He was at the dealer meeting and the sales training meeting. Still heavily involved so don't worry about that!

I don't know anything about his plans to ski in the pro scene though.

Also, Chris didn't write the statement in the Press Release and neither did CC. Don't know who did but it wasn't either of the above parties.
