    Have 85 2001, want 93ish sport nautique

How is the wake on a 93ish sport nautique compared to by 85 SNS2001? I have a Monster tower and v-drive fat sacks each side of the engine. What hull is the early 90s sport nautique and which years did they make them? I would like more room, but not without a decent wake. We only wakeboard and inner tube with our current SN. Thanks!!

I can't speak for the wake compared to an 85 SN2001, but I have a 93 Sport Nautique that I bought last year. The wake is good without weight, but with weight, the wake is great. I'm not positive, but I've been told that this hull is very similar to what CC used in the Super Air 210 through the eary 2000's - could be wrong, so don't hold me to that.

Another great thing about the 93+ models is that they don't have wood floor/stringers, it's all glass - no more stressing about rotten floors.

Yea, I would definatly go for the 93 plus years to avoid the rot issue.

the 93 through 97 Sport uses exactly the same hull as the old super air. No difference at all below the gunnels. Above the gunnels then yes the boat is different but that doesn't affect the wake quality. I have a 97 sport which I love, the only down side is that if you want to keep the rear seat you need to be a little ingenious as to where to put the weight. I've got about 450lbs of lead packed behind, above and below the fuel cell and rear seat. I also have two side sacs that I fill along with a belly tank.

I have a 90 and the wake is really similar to a the sn2001 a little wider mabey but still pretty rampy and you can mellow it out with weight up front. My freind has a SAN and it is not as big as his boat. I thought it was until I rode behind his boat after mine and his is a good amount bigger but almost the same width. I love my boat though and it is great I would love a 93, one of the things that sucks is my molded swim platform and the notch that dips down on the back of the slanted transom lets water run over it really easy.

I thought I posted this and it was brought back from the dead because I went form a 85 to a 93 sport myself. I found the wake to be a bit better on the transition and it responds to weight well like the 85 did. Obviously, more room was an added bonus and you can get early sports for a decent price now (low teens or better in some cases). It is totally worthwhile doing and no need to worry about differences in wake because the was is still awesome

              Hope that helps.
