Keyless Ignition on SN Ltd. Up & Down

OK I have a keyless Dash Pod on a 2002 Ski Nautique and it has more buttons than I can use.

On the Keyless Ignition and to the right of the stop button and below the blower button - there are two buttons "Up" & "Down" that are triangular and marked with arrows.

What do they do? Don't tell me "it is to adjust the electric seats"

Super old thread, I know, but it is all I could find when searching. The link to the other thread is not working. Can anyone tell me what the arrows on the keyless ignition do on a 2002 SANTE?

They do nothing.

On 2000 super sport/ super air nautiques, they controlled the hydraulic one piece engine/rear compartment storage lid. The three compartment trunk came in 2001, making the arrows redundant.

They are for the electric rear hatch actuator on the Super Sport, and Super Air boats.

Correct Craft used the same dash on all the boats, so you had some function switches that did not have anything to control, on different models of boats.

This dash board was used from 2000 to 2002. I think in 2000, the rear hatch was one piece, on Super Sport/Super Air boats, spanning the entire width of the boat. Possibly the same design in 2001.
In 2002 I think the rear hatch was split into three pieces, and the hatches were supported with gas struts, and held closed with electrically actuated solenoids, and there were push buttons on the port and starboard sides to open the hatch. I also think in 2003, Correct Craft gave up on the electric solenoid idea, and went to a rotating manual catch.

My dates probably are wrong. There were a lot of midyear changes done on Correct Craft boats at this time.

There is a possibility, that the switch functions in the switch box are still there, just not hooked up. You might be able to use the up and down arrows to control something else that need a momentary electrical current

I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can purchase and install a keyless ignition on a 1999 super air? I'm buying my first Nautique next week and I couldn't be more thrilled. My buddy has a 2000 SN with this option so it got me wondering if I can install on mine. TIA

Don't do it.

Many of us have converted keyless systems or replaced systems to different gauges because they failed.

I'm sure you will have plenty of other small projects / upgrades. Keyless ignition should not be one.
