Wrap-Around Seat

I'd like to add a wrap-around seat to my '05 SANTE similar to Jeff's (pictured below). I'd like to get anyone's opinion on the how-to. I'm guessing just about any upholstry shop? I'd also like to include a couple cup holders under the gunwale and a lean-back for the passengers to face to the rear. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Order a 'cooler lid' from Correct craft tht will match, and then you build a frame underneath. You can put a sub in that frame to make it more useful .

If CC makes anything similar, it might be worth the extra money to order replacement skins for whatever they offer, then work backwards to build the base to fit. The vinyl will match as will the accent colors. I did a custom jump seat for the walk through of my boat this way and think it turned out well.

Pancaked styrofoam insulation wrapped in duck tape works well for curves in the seat base if you're going to carpet over it anyway. My base was mostly wood for rigidity and strength, but since I wanted it to fit nicely up against my observer seat, I needed a way for the base to curve a little bit. The reason for the ducktape was because most adhesives tend to eat styrofoam and it was all I could think of to attach it to the wood base without tearing it up.

Picture shows one cupholder, but once the wife saw it, I ended up shoehorning a second one in there.

Yeah, mine has been great. A local upholstery shop made the cushion. I took in the cooler cushion, and they duplicated it. I built the frame out of marine plywood, and covered it with CC carpet. It really looks factory!

I'm not much of a carpenter (but I may have some family that could do it). Any ideas where I could have the whole thing done? What about the lean-back and cup-holders?

Sure. Just order a new cooler seat from CC and put it on the other side.

I'm not sure how different this project is from mine, but if you can operate a saw and a drill, you can build that base. I'm no carpenter either. I ordered the skins and had them stuffed by a local auto trim shop. Got the cup holder inserts from my local Nautique dealer for a couple of bucks a piece. Cut a tight hole for 'em and drop 'em in. Hinged the seat base and seat back. Have nonskid under the seat base so I don't have to worry about people stepping on the seat cushion when the go to the bow.

Again, I know it's not exaclty the same project, but figured I'd repost these in case they might give you some ideas.

Thanks. It's been a great option to have. It's not exactly weightless though when we need to pull it out (not that we have many ocassions to do that.
