    Ballast pump replacement

I am in the process of replacing the ballast tank filler and discharge pumps on my 04 206 Air Nautique. The factory ones do not fill and discharge properly. I have been advised of using the Jabsco model pumps that do not require priming. Has anyone gone through this process and if so, do you have any suggestions etc on the type of pumps and the necessary parts to complete the swap. Much appreciated. Deibs.

    RE: Ballast pump replacement

I have two aerator pumps that came out of a SAN. They work fine. I'll sell both of them to you for $35 shipped.

      RE: Ballast pump replacement

Check with your dealer, I believe there was a recall on the ballast pumps on my 05' 206.
If no recall perhaps this would be considered a warrantee issue?

        ballast pump replacement

.................on my 05'210 SANTE my factory belly ballast valve seems to drip a bit, not much, but at the end of a daily session their is a bit of water in the hull, is that normal and should i replace them since we're on the topic. when i pull the plug after a session it sometimes will drain for 5 seconds sometimes longer, a good gallon sometimes! o and it has a dripless packing gland as well.

        thank you,
        ice

I suspect the plumbing would be significantly different. I believe the exhaust hoses running from the inlet to the tanks is 1 1/4. I think your '04 system uses a set of hoses that is smaller (bilge hose). So, I think you would need to adapt the outlets etc., etc. A bit of surgery
          but probably do-able. :???:

i am not sure Deibs, but ur '04 pumps are different than the '05/'06. ur 04 may have 2 pumps PER tank vs the single pump per tank used now. & if u ever convert to jabsco, be sure to get the "silicone-based" impeller (even if u have to buy it separately). jabsco's standard impeller s@cks!
