    Difference between 97,98,99 Nautiques

Just wondering what the differnces are between the 1997, 1998, and 1999 Ski Nautique 196. I an under the impression the the rear seat was not removable in 97, and that the 99 does not rev/high idle at start up. Are these true, and what else is there? Thanks

AFAIK the rear seat is removable in all years although the did introduce a storage compartment above the gas tank as an option which may make those with that option need the rear seat.

In 98 you get a new, smaller motor box and bottom-swing tachometer. In 99 you get the reprogrammed computer on the GT40 EFI engine and the adjustable rudder. In one of these years they switched to a white dash rather than an all black dash as well. I think in 99 you got more color options. There's a handful of other little differences also. All great boats with very minor differences- you can't go wrong.

I believe the dash went from black to the color of the deck in '99. '99 also saw the introduction of the Navy Masters color scheme. The black Masters scheme debuted in either 98 or 99.

The seat in a 1997 Ski nautique is very removeable. Mine is sitting in the basement. I think in 1998 Correct craft added a burlwood dash option.
