06' 210 Prop Suggestions

Hey All,
I was wondering if I could get some input on what others are using for a prop on the '06 210. I have read all the prop reviews and talked to ACME on the phone, but would like some more input before I spend $400 on another prop. I currently have the ACME 381 that came on my boat and it's takes a long time to plane with just stock ballast and four people. We generally use stock ballast with 7 big guys (200 #'s+) or we have two or three in the boat with an additional 1000 #'s. Top end is nice but not really needed that much. Everyone is suggesting an ACME prop but I have had good luck with OJ too in the past. Is ACME that much better than OJ? I am looking for the best all around prop I can get. Good Economy with good pull too. I was recommended the 1237.

When I was looking for a prop I was told by ACME that I didn't have enough clearance between the prop and my hull with the 1234 (rh rotation prop). Go with the 856 lh equivalent prop if you surf and run alot of ballast or the 644 lh equivalent if you run stock ballast mostly. The 856 equivalent will take a hit on you top end speed. But not a big deal if you don't cruise much.

I think the 1237 is the same as the 1234 but spins the other way and is a little smaller so it will clear on the 210. What's good about the 1234 though? I didn't really understand what the guy at acme was telling me...

I understand the the 1234 will not work on the 210. Great prop on the 211. Check the search function and you will see the results people got out of this prop. If the 1237 is the close to the 1234 I would go with it. The guys at ACME seem to know their stuff. I am now running alot of weight (stock 730# + 1200#) in my 211 and have no problem with hole shot. It is like not having any weight in the boat. One of these days I am going to slam the boat and take pics just to see how big the wake can get.

Thanks, I think I have read every article or write up on props here on PN, but no mention of OJ at all that I could find, including Luke's great write up. Lots of prop talk on 211's too. I am just trying to get some real opinions on the many new props that have came out lately. For example I think the 1237 is relatively new along with the 1161 both from ACME. I think OJ has new props out too. I will go either way, ACME or OJ but will all the new props out I don't want to miss a good due to lack of research...

Planetnautique has a discount through ACME. That might be the reason for all the ACME talk. If the 1237 is the same as the 1234 only lh rotation it will not fit on your boat. I forgot the number but I think ACME wanted 1" or 3/4" of clearance between the prop and the hull to prevent "burning" from prop wash.

I think the 1235 is the same as 1234 but LH rotation and the 1237 is just a little smaller so it will work on the 210. What makes the 1234 a good prop though?

I believe I was told that with it's larger diameter it is possible to give up less top end while getting a great hole shot. 1237? Must be a new prop. Does it have a RH rotation brother? Now you have me curious. I was assuming the 1237 was the LH of the 1234. My bad.

I went from a 644 with a top end in the low 40's to a 856 adn I don't think I can hit 40mph staying within the redline limits. It is worth it for the hole shot with ballast.

I get all confused with the rotations. I think the 1237 rotates the direction of the '06 210 which rotates the opposite direction of the older 210's. Is that clear as mud?

do you have a team 06? i do and even with extra ballast the holeshot is great. no complaints about the team prop here, whatever number it is.
