I was paging through the 2004 Brouchure and realized the Nautiques pictured only have midship cleats - when did that change occur? (Model years?) I see stern pop-up cleats are an option. When we ordered, I assumed the option was static vs pop-up not absent vs pop-up. - huh. :?: I have spent enough time behind the boat yelling "CLEAT"! - I am looking forward to not having that worry but that would seem to complicate tying up at dock.

Lack of rear cleats is just stupid
I agree and three years later its still a problem. I just picked up a 07 211 TE and was surprised to find that there are no rear cleats. :x
Its really annoying because all the demo boats at the show have cleats and I just assumed that there would be some sort of cleats at the rear (maybe static vs pop-up).
Anyway, I just had the dealer quote installing factory pop-up cleats and they want C$496 (US$465) which is ridiculous, considering the option price when I was ordering the boat was C$175. I need some form of rear cleats for tying the rear fender to and so don't really have a choice of not installing some type of cleats.
I suspect a large part of the charge is for labour, so changing to other types of cleats I suspect will not be much cheaper.
Anyone have any other ideas? :?:
PS CorrectCraft - If you are reading this, why are you cheaping out on a $175 "option"/necessity on a $90,000 boat??????????????2021 GS22 - Lovin every minute of it

RE: Lack of rear cleats is just stupid
There are 2 types of "pop up" cleats. One is spring loaded and the other you just pull out with your fingers. Go for the spring loaded ones. Vertically mounted "pull out" cleats slip out on their own. Plus, it's fun to push the botton and have a cleat come flying out, kind of like a pop-up umbrella.

Cleats?
My 99 SAN only has cleats in the middle of the boat on both sides. I tie my boat up using the long grab handles on the back near the sundeck and tie my bumpers to the tower. I'm completely comfortable doing this because I have my own private dock. Plus, you have to make due with what CC gives you on your boat, IMO.
