I'm confused...is he in a CC or MC??

According to the press release, he's in a CC, but why this thread last month on Wakeworld - with pics of him in a MC? I'm confused. Is he getting paid by CC, but cruising the lake in a MC?

Haha maybe he left Mastercraft to come to Nautique because perhaps he was not happy with them!!! That is an older posting of Mastercraft and recent of Correct Craft... Possibility no?

I kinda surprised you guys are even asking this. I doubt he is rolling both. I saw the headline with Stewart and immediatly thought of the Wakeworld post and said to myself "All it takes is one second to decide to leave one team and go to the one that pays you more" I'm sure it is nothing more simple than that. Besides, in the Wakeworld post, I don't believe it said he was sponsored by MC, just that he had purchased the Mastercraft. The Nautique is even green to match his bike!!

Oh well, I going to go buy my 6 year old daughter a KX85 and get her going.......

I completely forgot about that thread on WakeWorld. I get the impression that he purchased the MasterCraft but was comped the Correct Craft. So he wasn't really on the MasterCraft team, hence no disloyalty. I just wish I could figure out a way to cross promote myself into the drivers' seat of a 236. These Motocross guys have it too easy when it comes to free boats.

I have heard riders dont actually get free boats, but rather get to lease them for $1/yr. This way the company is not completely giving away a boat, just the use and depreciation of it for one year which costs the company maybe $10k, but not $60k. Then they are also not liable for insurance, maintenance, or repair, just like if you lease a car and crash it, it is your responsibility to return it in a previously agreed upon condition when the lease is up. This information came from back in 2000 when i was at a pro's house that was sponsered by Toyota. I can't confirm if it is true or not, or if all mfgs are like Toyota, but it sounded like that was the way it worked.

I had a factory tour yesterday and Stewart came up in the conversation. I asked them about the MC that he bought and they did not really have a good answer other than he is now with Correct Craft and CC bought the MC from Stewart. Supposedly he bought the MC because he liked the way that it looked.

His 2007 MC X2 is going to be parked in good company, a Ferrari, Lamborgini, Rolls and Bentley are now the X2's roommates. James said he wanted a MasterCraft after seeing it several times at Supercross events throughout the last season.

James Stewart is a professional motocross racer sometimes referred to as the Tiger Woods of Supercross. He is known for his tenacity, speed and being the first African American to dominate the sport of motocross.

James Stewart was born in Bartow, Florida. His father, James Sr., was a motocross racer and took his son on rides and to watch him race starting at a very young age. Stewart entered his first race when he was four and garnered his first sponsor at the age of seven.

As a child, James traveled around the country with his family so he could compete in motocross races. The Stewarts lived in a motorhome and Bubba and his younger brother, Malcolm, were home-schooled. As a rookie racer he won nine national titles and became known for his blazing speed and big air; a combination that had never been seen from a rider of his age. James turned pro in 2002, competing in the 125cc class and was named the 2002 Rookie of the Year. He led Teen People to name him one of "20 Teens Who Will Change the World" in its April 2003 issue.

On April 2, 2005, in his third race after moving up to the bigger, faster 250cc class, James became the first African-American to win a 250 cc THQ World Supercross Series race at Texas Stadium, beating such heavyweights as Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, and Kevin Windham. James would go on to win 2 more times during his first Supercross (indoor) season.
