So has anyone taken delivery of a new 210 yet?

I'm looking into getting into an 07 210 and was wondering if anyone had some pictures of the wake besides for those picstures that were posted in the thread with 220 and 236 as well? Thanks, Colin

Second hand report from one quarter has an owner raving about their new boat, but I sure am hanging out for some real discussion and input before charging ahead and ordering one.

With all the pre-release hoo-ha, you would have thought this site would be replete with reviews now that they're out on the water...

Not being a wakeboarder, I guess I don't follow all of the changes. What did they do to "kill" that boat? Why is it not an "athletes" boat? You could always buy a direct drive....now there is an athletes boat.

Obviously SPECK is just talking smack and stirring up trouble.....bad mouths the boat, but when I asked him elaborate, he has nothing.

Rode one last week, great boat to drive handles much better than the old 210. Love the guages hate the dash design, only benefit is the unobstructed view for the driver. Finally the wake, it was tested in shallow water with one adult and child onboard and it has potential for sure but it's no 210 will hopefully ride again soon in some deep water and be able to add some weight and see what it can really do.

yes i will elaborate. it is well known that the old 210 was not the biggest of boats. it is narrow, and is tempermental to uneven side weights. the beauty of it however, was that it does not take much weight to make a great wake. that wake is steep and will buck you in the air, but if you don't like it, ride a shorter line and with less weight. the boat is easy on gas and is fun to drive. comming from a malibu 23 xti, the original 210 is light years ahead of that boat (i know not a fair comparison). i like the interior of the new 210. i can apprieciate the time it took to make all those molds and the templates for all of the upholstery. i would miss the angled seats of the old 210, those are a personnal favorite. what i don't like about the new 210 is its width. the 220 is 96", why is the 210 98"? doesn't make must sense. a narrower boat will load down with less weight. this is easier on everything in the boat (parts i mean). i bought my 06 because of its reputation and because i could logically see how it would do its job (make great wakes) without much effort. anybody can plumb in 2000-3000 lbs of ballast and make a wake. try stopping with this weight and turning around every time a rider goes down and you will quickly tire of it. yes i do have wedge sacks on top of my hard tanks, and to prevent porposing i have one bag in the bow. the key is that myself and two friends can go out and have a perfect wake and a great ride without having to find 6-8 people like in my malibu.
alot of peole talk about the lack of distinction between CC's boats now, that they all look the same. people went on for pages about what would make their perfect new 210. these comments were from owners who have slapped their money down to buy a current 210. i will admit there is always room for improvement. what kills me is how CC threw out the notion af the athletes boat. the 211 is the family crossover about 21 feet long. the 210 should always be the athletes boat where the wake is supreme and all else comes second. yes when i bought my 210 it was a big step down in terms of size. people may think you are getting less for your money buying the old 210. i quickly learned why the 210 is legendary. what CC did was to supersize the 210 so it would look comparable to the VLX and other 21 foot boats. this is why i feel they killed it. they made it like the other boats, which takes away why it is uniqueness. i still believe the CC is built better. the vinyl is better, the overall constuction is better. i don't want to discourage anyone from buying a cc product. i just cringe at which direction they are taking the 210 hull.

                          that is my theory

IMO good post Speck. I have an '06 210 and can't agree more.

Speck you said it pretty well and couldn't agree more. I think the overall package is missing something. Individually, all of the pieces are great, but when they are all put together, the total package is lacking. Maybe Greg will get this fixed during his time as PM, etc.
