Hello all! My family and I are recently proud new owners of a '95 196. We bought from an original owner who cared for it well and only put 268 hours on it. The boat was used in one lake exclusively, located only a mile and a half from the house where it was always garaged. This is where I water tested it and where tears welled in the previous owner's eyes as I pulled away with his baby behind my truck. There is not one scratch in this boat - seriously. I am also a new member to this site and this is my first post. I wanted to let everyone who contributes to this site know that you all had a great deal to do with our decision to buy CC. I have learned a lot from all of your experiences - good and bad - they have helped influence the decision we made. Although I am new to the site, I have been reading this and others for about a year while saving my pennies. Members of this group seem more cohesive and offer a real sense of community and comraderie lacking elsewhere. Attitudes are positive and generally open minded. There is also a noticeable absence of activity such as brand bashing and other negative behavior. So - thank you all - we're here to stay.

RE: new
pez, glad to hear that you have moved into a Nautique! Sounds like you got yourself a great boat, post some pics when you get some! I had a '95 SN Signature -- what a great boat! Congrats and welcome to the CC family!
Enjoy and let us know how the first run goes!

Here are a couple of pic's. I seriously could not believe the condition of this boat when I saw it. Even better after the water test and the price seemed reasonable too. I tried to keep an open mind when I started looking and checked out many brands - Mastercraft, Supra, Malibu, and MB. In time I was looking for CC's exclusively. I think my patience paid off - see what you guys think.

I can understand why the original owner cried when you drove off. What a great looking boat for "12 years young".If you can't do it in, on, or behind a Nautique..... It just ain't worth doing!

Wow! You could eat off the engine (but I'd be afraid to get crumbs on it)! Beautiful boat!1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.
