I have already sent out the new J hook assemblies with installation instructions to those who needed them, if there are others out there that still need/want them please email me!

For those of you who will be receiving the J hooks, let me know what you think.

Thanks guys, sorry for any hassles this may have caused! At least this way there will be no drilling into the boat!

Is there anyone out there that can explain to me what the best way is to cinch down the strap in the back (the one that tightens the rope all the way around the boat)? I have tried a couple of different options, but none of them seem to work very well.

          How to tighten rope

Here are some instructions on how to tighten the rope down in the back for those that are confused. There are two different set ups we have for tightening the rope and both are listed below. I hope this helps. Feel free to email or call the shop if you have any questions.

How to tighten rope with oval pad and square velcro pouch:

First open up pad tied to the rope on the Right side of the cover. Take the strap out of the pouch, weave the long strap through the Right D ring on the oval pad that is tied to the rope on the left side of the cover. Then weave the strap through the D ring on the Square pouch, and then back through the Left D ring (D ring that is closest to the rope loop) on the oval pouch. Last put strap through the bottom of the clamp and pull strap to make rope tight.

How To tighten rope with two velcro square pouches:

First undo both pouches attached to rope line and take out black straps. Weave the LEFT strap through the lift eye on the RIGHT side, then take strap back to the LEFT pouch and weave the strap through the underside of the clip on pouch. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET. Do the same with the strap on the right side of the cover. Place RIGHT strap through the LEFT lift eye and then back through the clip on the RIGHT pouch. Now Tighten both straps at the same time so that the rope remains even through the cover.

            RE: How to tighten rope

Good info, Ill be sending that out to everyone who participated in the group buy.

I believe it is also important that the straps in the rear (attached to the top of the cover) are tightened BEFORE the drawstring. Ill call the shop today and see if you have any more tips, then pass them along here.

It is important to tighten down the straps before you tighten the rope line. After the rope line is tight you can give the back straps another tug to tighten the cover more.

                RE: How to tighten rope

Does anyone have issues with water pooling in the back of the boat? (Inbetween the engine cover and rear seat area) I have all straps and side hooks as tight as possible, but I am still getting some water pooling. Any advice?

                  RE: How to tighten rope

After having my cover on for 2+ weeks and no rain, it finally rained. Enough water on cover to go swimming. What's up with this? I thought these covers weren't suppose to pool rain water.

                    RE: How to tighten rope

I have the cover for the 211 and there has been no pooling. Did you tighten the J-hooks on the side to ensure the cover is tight? It took me a few minutes the first time I put the cover on to adjust the J-hooks in their velcro holders. After I finish tightening the cover at the stern I then pop the J-hooks on either side in place. I have them so tight that it takes a little effort to pull them down over the rub rail. Anyway, my cover is very tight.
