Ok first thoughts on the 1465 are Amazing.
The hole shot is unreal. Rpms are up a bit, not that much though. Top speed has dropped 3 mph.

6 people on the boat, 210, ballast system full, plus an extra 1200 pounds and it planes so fast and so easy. Wish we would have had this prop all along.

I would not recommend the 856 for your situation if you plan on doing any cruising. My max speed is 34mph at 4200 rpm (max cruising rpm on a gt-40). I mainly use the boat for boarding and it is a great prop for that. Run 2000# additional.

Clubmyke, we can't fit the 1234 or 1235 on our 210's. Not enough prop clearance to the bottom of the boat. Sounds like it is a good prop.

SkiWail5, What is your speed at 4200 rpm's? This sounds like the prop to get.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: New ACME 1237 Prop -- Anyone Tried It?

ran the 1234 on my 06 220 for the first time this weekend. i run the following:

          stock ballast
plumbed 750s in the rear lockers (they get approx 75% full)
plumbed 580 in the center locker (gets approx 50-60% full)
v shaped bag in bow storage (gets approx 50% full)
350 lbs of lead and steel in the nose and center locker

my guess is that i am running around 2300lbs over stock ballast. add that to a 4200 lb boat, approx 400 lbs of fuel, and 980 stock ballast, and the whole thing rings in around 7800 lbs before gear, man sodas (beer or whatever you put in a cooler), and people. prior to propping down, the 16 pitch prop and ZR6 would not get us out of the hole fully loaded. the 1234 will do it. it wont do it with direct drive like snap, but it will get the whole rig out of the water. RPMs are not up significantly, and fuel consumption is down.

what is peculiar, is that the 1234 does not slingshot the boat out of the hole even when it is empty. the increased diameter of this prop (14.5") really acts to govern how fast it lets the engine spin up. i liken the power now to more of a diesel type delivery: smooth and steady power with no bogging. i was expecting more of a snap out of the hole, but it makes sense that the larger diameter keeps that from happening while still powering through RPM range... it is also more apparent now that if you floor it out of the hole, you are just wasting fuel...

BTW: the wake is best when I am running those same rear sacks with approx 3-5" of water in them when the boat is at rest. i havent figured out how to dial it in when we are completely full...i suspect the boat wants to go faster then we want to ride... empty the v shaped bow sack and fill one locker and empty the other locker and tank, and the surf wake is as good as any i have seen. and that is on either side....

            Souonds like great info.,...but

I have a 01 super air/ running w/ 1650lb. total bags and plumbed ballast w/ the occasional passenger at 200lb. I use a factory OJ prop. Says # 664S and 14x18 on it. My buddy has an 03 super air w/ the same wait, but our wakes are definately different. What prop could I use, and will it make the wake stand up more?
