    RE: tint

The stuff I used came from Autozone. The corners were really hard to stick, but if you spend a little time and maybe use a hairdryer on low heat it should work. I took the glass out of the frames when I did mine whish was scary but made thing much easier I think.

      tint

sounds like I will be going with 20 percent 3 M tint then. I just worry that it will be to dark, but if you seem to have no problems with it, sounds good to me.

        RE: tint

any tint from walmart, or autozone is all the same it sucks. Find a local auto tinting company and save yourself the head ache, tint is not that hard to install but you need some good tint and the right tools

Not really alot of Tools needed, from my experience doing a few cars & them coming out very well I've only used
1.) Spray bottle w/ soapy water.
          2.) VERY SHARP Exacto Knife
3.) Some sort of squegee (Credit card wrapped in paper towel worked great)
4.) Brown paper towels (the type you have in the big rolls in bathrooms)

I wanted to post a few pictures of our 99 Pro Air that we just tinted. When deciding on what % to go with, the pictures on here were a great help so just wanted to add some in case others where in the same position. Here is 25% tint done by Corey at Culver Marina. He runs a great shop over there and cant say enough about how professional they are. It really has been a pleasure working with them.

            Hope this helps!

Wow, that looks much darker than what I would have thought for 25%. Please bump this thread with a picture once you get the boat out on the water this summer.

                35 % tint

35% ! I wouldnt go w/out tint !! Any % you get makes it a little difficult to see at nite , but we usually dont cruise to much at nite . We get done riding at dusk ,clean up ,roll up ropes & roll in towards the docks !! Gotta use those bad A$$ transom lites !

                  RE: tint

the rake of the windshield being tinted & whatever's under it affects the transparency(light/darkness)

Here is my 99 Air. I personally think the tinting makes the boat. I don't know whether I can see through the glass at night. I always sit in the seat high enough to see over the top, whether it's at night or during the day.

                            Thanks Andrew!
He is leaving it on due to selling - Thinks it looks better
Maybe has ten hours since the tint job due to lack of time to use.
I believe it is a lot darker than a 35% - those look to be tolerable

Mine was tinted when I bought it and I hated it. I pulled it off after two outings. It was impossible ot see out of the windshield at all. I'd rather just have a good pair of polarized sunglasses any day

Mine had tint when I bought it as well. I'm not sure of the % but it was **** dark and just annoying to drive day and night. That problem was solved with some ammonia and a sunny day. I can see clearly now.
