RE: New Correct Craft National Sales Manager
It is interesting to see the changes going on at CC these days. It sounds like Bill Yeargin is adding strong people in the proper places to help the company continue to do well, and possibly become even better. I noticed in the press release that there is emphasis on training for the dealers, which is a GREAT thing. Training is one thing that Yeargin stresses in his book, and it is nice to see him implementing some of the topics he discusses in his book at Correct Craft. It will be interesting to see how the dealer network changes over the next couple of years with Mr. Yauch in charge.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Not to put a fly in the ointment...But why would they need to train their dealers and what exactly would they train them for?
If the dealers arn't doing a good job you get rid of them...right?Lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Not to put another fly in the ointment but based on the stats and experience of the new NSM in the Press Release most of the CC dealers have been in the boat business alot longer then the new CC NSM has been in the boating business.
In addition....Arn't the CC dealers staying in business and making money from doing it right or am I missing something :shock:Lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

I wasn't trying to say that I don't think the dealers are doing a good job now. The ones that I have come in contact with do quite well. That being said, there's nothing wrong with continuous improvement. Nobody knows everything, and even people with less experience may be able to offer a different perspective on certain things. Each dealer can then choose the best way to run their particular business.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I was surprised this winter when i found out how "individual" each CC dealer really is, and how each really can choose much more than I thought as far as selling the Nautiques... I think a little education even for them every now and then couldn't hurt...I Nautique, therefore I am.

Wonderful disposable society we live in now-a-days. Lets not try to help each other be better, but just throw each other to the curb when a better option comes out.

They would gripe and moan that they didn't get the time, respect, and attention that they deserved...
They would say, "how can CC expect to sell any boats or get repeat business when their dealer network is terrible"...
Dealers are the face of CC for most buyers, so I think dealer training (even as I have had a positive experience) is of the utmost importance.

With the already high standards expected by CC of their dealers and from what I hear for the most part on this forum that the current CC dealers are top notch and for the most part provide excellent buying and ownership experiences for the customers...yes? :grin:Lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
