    Wraparound Seat/Sub Help

I have a 2005 210 and plan on making a seat behind the driver to complet the wraparound. Like the one toward the bottom of this thread:

    http://www.planetnautique.com/index....4a38186bced036

I plan on putting 1 or 2 10" subs in there as well.

I asked for quotes from my dealer for the cushion. $500 for the assembled cushion  , or $150 for only the skin (must be really expensive foam and plastic backing??? Or perhaps the stainless staples??? Yellow_Flash_Colorz: ). Needless to say, I ordered the skin . . . .

I have found a local upholsterer to do the work, but am looking for more details on the foam used by the factory; type pics of the contours, etc.

It looks like the backing is simply ¼" stiff plastic, any one know what type??

Any other items that could be helpful to me for this project??

    Thanks!

You can buy the Polypropylene boards at West Marine or any marine supply store. His looks like its fiberglassed particleboard. Anyone in upholstry should be able to match the foam, it's the vinyl thats hard and you already have that covered. Just make sure it's wrapped in plastic so it doesn't soak up water. By the way what are you going to do with the factory sub. I'm looking for one for my 2000 196. Rick

I may keep the actual sub, but will be selling the enclosure. It is the tube type mounted on the floor, not the more boxy wall-mount type (examples of what I am talking about: http://www.planetnautique.com/index....114&highlight= )

Shoot me an offer if you are interested in the box.

Rick has dibs right now. I don't think there is room to open it up for a 12" either (but not sure).
