2000 v 2001 SAN by sight

If one were just looking at a boat, aside from examining the hull ID, could you tell the difference bw a 2000 SAN and a 2001 SAN?

I was told that the three piece sundeck was only available in 2001 - anything else?

In addition to the 1-piece hatch, I believe in 2000 the rear seating was still full wraparound.

Yes, in 2000 the rear seating is full wrap around.

I thought you could also get full wrap in 2001? At least I've seen some.

Don't know about full wrap being an option in '01. But I do know that there were at least a few seating options that year since my boat was ordered w/out the port center cushion. It's possible another option would be a wraparound rear bench.

The dash is a little different on a 2001. The gauges are a little higher with a smaller carbon or wooden trim plate. Just below that the possibility is for 2 small gauges (like the ballast gauges). You can view them thru the steering wheel.
Also a 2001 has bow speakers.

I don't think my 2001 has bow speakers? and I can't check, boat is still in storage

I don't have bow speakers in my '01, either. From what I've seen, some have them and some don't. I've also seen a number of different instrument cluster setups so that isn't really a telltale indicator of year, either.
