I was able to get out on the water this past weekend with stock ballast plus 1,200 pounds of lead. The wake is incredible. I have only taken about three sets on it so far, but I can already say that I like this wake more than my '03 210. That's a strong statement, but this wake is insane. I have some pictures that I'll post when I get home this afternoon. I can see why CC is using this boat to pull their pro wakeboarding events this year.

What part of the wake do you like more Jeff? Firmness, height, shape?

I'll say that it was certainly taller (and wider, obviously) than my 210. What I noticed the most was that I could take a very slow cut into the wake, and it would boot me. It is slightly more rampy than the 210, but the extra size makes up for any difference in vertness, and it seems as though it is more centered than being extremely vert or extremely rampy. Don't get me wrong, I love the 210 wake. I am not knocking it at all. I just like the 236 wake more. I probably won't get out on it again this week, which means the next boat I am behind will be Travis Moye's X-Star. It'll be interesting to ride that wake after the 236.

Jeff, I know that it is a bit of a thread hijack but how has going to the camp helped your riding? How about age ranges that go? I've been thinking of going but don't want to be the only adult there.

Riding with Shaun and Travis will progress your riding quite a bit, if that's what you're looking for. I always come away feeling like I accomplished something, even if it is minor. When you're there, you ride as much or as little as you want. Everything is laid back. If you want to hit it hard, then they will help you. If you just want to chill, they're cool with that too. One other cool thing is that there are usually other pros around too. The first time I was there, Keith Lyman was over almost every day. Kyle Rattray was there last year, and Emily Copeland-Durham was around too.

The age ranges are crazy. They require adult supervision for people under 18, and they have had people there that are in their sixties. The week before I was there last year, this 67-year-old couple was there, and they rode four sets a day. That's crazy! When I've been there in the past, it has been mostly people in their 20's and 30's. I think Travis has said before that most of their riders are between 20 and 40, and quite a few parents bring their kids.
