Spinner board racks and Bimini

Am soon to take delivery of a 2007 SV211TE. I have ordered the spinner racks and an under-tower bimini.

The dealer just called to say that the spinner racks interfere with the Bimini and therefore we might have to settle with spinners that only spin a little or an over-tower bimini. I am not sure I like either of these options as the racks are expensive if they don't spin and the over-tower bimini doesn't provide nearly as much cover as the under-tower and we have small kids and sun exposure is a high priority issue for us.

Anyone have any ideas/solutions for this situation.

I just got my 2007 210 and I opted out for the spinner racks. I really don't understand why nautique uses such bad quality racks. I got the fundamental industries racks, I think they look better and are more functional. Once you get the swivel racks you will notice its more of a pain to take the pin out and spin it that it is to just climb over and put the board in and put the bungee around. Also the bungee is terrriblee, such a bad idea. Seriously this is one aspect where mastercraft KILLS nautique. Get the Fundamental industries theyre amazing.

Did they change the tower for the 07 211? I know last year when I bought mine the spinners were an option but not recommended due to the angle of the tower arm not being the same as the towers on the 210 & 220. We actually took one and put it up to the tower and saw it would interfere with the bimini. It was also tilted (front to back) at an angle instead of being level. Didn't look good. I'm glad I went with the clips.

Great question. I have had an 04 SANTE for 3 years, and the Flight Clips have done the job perfectly - 100% satisfied - never had any issues (although you do have to climb on the rail to get them on and off).

Looks like I am ordering a new 210, so yes any comments on Flight Clips vs Spinners would be most appreciated! I had chosen Flight Clips, but my dealer advised me to go for Spinners.

That is one thing that I really like on the X-Star. In my experience, their racks are just great. They are perfectly integrated into the tower, and function well without the use of bungees. I wish CC offered something similar.

What brand of towerbimini are they putting on? I would recommend that you contact towerbimini's com. When the spinner racks came out, he rengineered a bend in the bimini so that it would clear. I saw two at the boat show. BKH

i would look at a different tower for the 211 ( own a 05 211)..

the tower is the MAJOR weak link to this boat... it is too too low

I think its too late to change the tower, I am "stuck" with the OE version. I am not sure whether there has been a tower change between 06 and 07 - the dealer had no problem with the spinner racks and he knows the boats pretty well, so hopefully there won't be a problem with rack angles.

I will find out where the bimini is being made. Its somewhere on the west coast, so it may be TowerBiminis. I will ask the dealer on monday, but apparently it was the bimini manufacturer who highlighted this issue.

I may end up going back to the flight clips and the under tower bimini, as sun protection is more important than access to the boards.

I can always use the credit from the spinners for the tower speakers!
