What do you think of these? I'm talking about the ones that are only like 4/5 feet high, not those flight pipes or the ones that need to be attached to the bow. I've always thought they were totally useless due to the fact that if you have one, you probably have a FCT. Why attach it to the extended pylon when you have a FCT? I've found it totally useless and still I see dealers getting them. Even the pic from CC has it and the boarder is using the tower... Whats up with this??? Does anybody use them? Does anyone find them useful? :?

Maybe so a skier or tuber can clear the heads of people in the back seat if you have a lot of people?
I don't know...............

Those pylons were originally standard equipment on the '98 - '99 Air/Pro Air Nautiques. CC must have believed the pylon offered a wakeboarding alternative to the tower. I actually had the dealer remove the extended pylon on my 99 Pro and replace it with the more traditional height pylon - the cover sure fit a heck of a lot better. I can't believe they're still offered.....

That isn't a current year brochure is it? I didn't think it was an option in 2004...2004 Air 206 Limited, Midnight Blue & Titanium, Silver Accents, FCT, Vortec ZR6, Perfect Pass - Dream Nautique!!

Air206, I don't know what year that picture is from, it looks like an air 196 to me but I could be wrong. It doesn't matter to me, the point i'm trying to make is that even the company's pic shows one not using it on a boat that has it... almost as if even they think it is pointlessI Nautique, therefore I am.

Looks like the boat is a 2002. I know a handful of people that still use the factory extended pylon. They don't want the hassle of having to fold the tower up and down. If you aren't a hardcore wakeboarder but like to do it, this is a great alternative. As far as trickers using this, they don't. They use the standard height pylon.

skinautique, you make a good point, and I agree with that. I just find it so weird and pointless when I see these dealers getting new Team Airs with extended pylons, even though the boat comes standard in that edition with a tower!I Nautique, therefore I am.
