    Cheapest tower mounted mirror mount???

Anybody know the most inexpensive tower mounted mirror mount? The mastercraft "mastercrap" one is like 140 which appears to be the least expenseive I've found but it's polished and I want powder coated black. i 'll have a polished one coated myself for a good price. Anybody?

It is $99 (w/o mirror from our local MC dealer) - There are two sizes BTW....Boss makes an articulating one too - unsure of real price though. (Jeff - That might be a group buy??)

      99 isn't bad

I like Boss's but it's polished which isn't a huge issue but also like 200 bucks. I would definitely be interested in a group buy if we could get it going. i actually have a hook up at a good powder coater if we wanted to go that route. Samson also has a really nice one that is powder coated but they want almost 200 as well. Could probably work a package with them easier then boss.

I have the boss Arm You can get it from wakeside.com for a great price Like $140 w/o the mirrior includs shipping. I bought 2 of them and had them Anodized.

IMO anodizeing is the way to go, it dosent mess up the threads and dosent mess with the ID of the mounting arm. There are some tight tollarances where the Arm hinges I dont think powder coating it wouldwork very good on the Boss arm, but im sure it would be ok on the MC arm that is if you want to mount a MC part to your CC. IMO its worth the extra $40 just to have no MC parts on my boat

          where anodize

          Grant,

Where did you have them anodized and how much? I was planning on sending my polished boss board racks out for powder coating next week but might go anodize if it costs less. i was also concerned about the tollerances but thought anodize might not look as good.

FYI- All of the Tower mirror mounts from SE Correct Craft Boats are purchased directly from MasterCraft. I just called down there for info on where to get mirror mounts, they recommended Mastercraft and gave me the MC part number.... so I guess many CCs have MC parts aboard. (I personally like the look of the MC bracket and it is the strongest part of their Zero-Flex tower....)

I just bought a boss mirror mount at the local boat show for $99. I really like it. My buddy bought the samson mount with the big mirror, paid 300 for it and hates it. You can't adjust the mirror up or down. also the way it mounts on the FCT leaves it at a strange angle. He's going to take it back. Buy the boss and have it anodized.

I bought mine from PhatBuddies. $199 less the mirror. It is semi polished with a clear anodized finish. I didn't know it was anodized until I attempted to polish it. Had to chemical dip it to remove the anodizing. Anyways...If they offer it clear, they probably offer it in black anodized or whatever color you want. I really like mine, and it fits the FCT perfectly without too many moving parts. There is a pic on my thread if your interested. Got it through our local CC dealership M20 marine in San Diego.
                Nautique... The final step up.

do you think board racks would OK anodized instead of powder coated? i have a couple sets of boss racks i'm puting on but was planning on getting them powder coated. is the ano as shiny as the powder coating or would it look strange next to the powder coated tower and flight clips? thanks..

Any Aluminium with lots of Detail and sharp edges looks better with anodize. The center part of the board rack that has the B log wil look not as sharp when its Powdercoated, And yes the Anodize has a lighter black look then powder coat. But IMO thats how you know its Anodized. I think the color will be close where you wont notice a big differance between the Boss racks being lighter than the Flight clips

                        Check out Samson Sports: http://www.samsonsports.com/mirrors.html

They make one of the best looking towers I have ever seen and one of the best I have used.

They will anodize or custom paint the mirrors, retail is $275.
