I have just finished reading all these posts, and I am wondering if there is a pill or a therapist that will keep me from catching this condition many of you seem to have. My first Nautique will not arrive for a few weeks, so I have yet to be infected. I am encouraged none of you have moved your children into the yard to make room for the boat.

MikeC, the secret I use for the tower on my 211 is to use a rope attached to the ski pylon and wrapped aroung the tower. Then just push the tower to the breaking point and hold on to the rope and lower the tower into your hands as you walk forward. I have to stand on the passenger seat until I can push it forward. I also raise it the same way, just attach your rope to the front and push it up until it passes that point then walk around and lower it into your hands. I keep mine in a storage unit and have to raise and lower each time (do all the time by myself)

After reading these posts, I feel like I'm mistreating my Nautique. I wish I could have a covered indoor storage in the summer. In the winter, my 99 SAN is covered in an old barn on my friend's farm. In the spring and summer it's a different story though (a sad one compared with most other owners on this site) Since I don't have my own tow vehicle, my nautique sits outside at our campgrounds 1.5 hours from my house. I cover it with the road cover and then drag a construction grade grey tarp over the tower and bungee strap it to the trailer. I use the tarp to cover the tower speakers and cover openings around the trailer. I just reapplied waterproofing to my road cover today to repel the excess water. I save on gas by not having to borrow my dad's truck to hull it back and forth all season. I travel down to the campground in my 4 cyl. Honda, borrow someone's truck to drop the boat in the water, and I can be riding in 20 mins after arrival.
