    Seat Cusion Foam

I am looking to buy replacement foam for a seat cusion. My dealer has told me that they cannot order just the foam. I was able to buy the skin, I assume that this has been done before.

    Who has (is) a flexible dealer that I can call . . . . .

    Feel free to pm me

Check with a local auto upholstery shop in your town. Take another seat cushion with you and tell them you want something of the same firmness. They should be able to match it. This is what I did when I was building an observer jump seat and I was very pleased with the results.

I have moved along this route already. I was just hoping I could get a good deal on the OEM foam to get the best consistency. The upholsterer said she can probably do it. The problem is, we don't have a lot of options up here in the boonies . . . .

Keukawake, where are you located? I have a good upholstery shop near Lake George that will be doing my interior.

I live in the Corning area (west of Binghamton). I have a shop that can stitch it up easily enough, I was just hoping to get a price for OEM foam. I can have her do her best to try to match it, but if the cost was similar, I would go with OEM in this case.

Jashon, I appreciate the offer, but I have no idea what the actual dimension of the foam are (if unbound by the vinyl), nor the foam density.

Thanks for the offers of help, but does anyone have a dealer willing to order just the foam, or am I stuck having the shop try to match (which will probably be ok).

Call Shannon at Ski N Sports in Tyler, TX. If it can happen, I would bet he will make it happen. Top notch CC dealership all around.
