I have a question concerning how to protect your boat from getting scratches from the carpet on the guides of my boat lift. I tried re-carpeting it last year with bunk carpet and it still scratched the side of the boat. I need to find something to put on the guides (scratch resitant carpet) that will not scratch boat or graphics as I have had new graphics put on entire boat this winter. Please help!! Boat and lift are going in the water Easter weekend.

What about takeing a few 2x4s and nailing them to the guides. but make the 2x4's stick up enough to hit the rub rail. Seems like it should work...How about \"Chales\"?

I made removeable covers with elastic bottoms out of 100% cotton duck cloth that completely cover the carpet on the guides. Used the boat this weekend and seemed to work great (so Far).Comment
