Weight estimate

I'm trying to get a weight estimate on my Sport Nautique and trailer. The boat is 2700lbs dry. I have a galvanized single axle trailer, that I would estimate at 1000-1100lbs. Plus gear. My estimate is that this is around 4000lbs. Am I thinking correctly with my estimates or am I off?

PS - Does anyone know of an easy place to weigh everything? Where I use to live they had grain silos, that you could just pull up on. Now I'm in the city.

Go to a public scale/truck scale and weigh it.

Dont forget to add the weight of your fluids (gas, engine oil, tranny fluid, residual water in the block/lines). Id say 4,000 lbs would be pretty close, maybe 4200 to be safe.

I took my 2000SN to the scale before I bought my last tow vehicle. It has a dual axle DHM trailer and closed bow. It was right at 4000 lbs. I would guess your boat versus my dual axle would cancel. It only costs $6.00 at our local scale to weigh it and the people there are really nice.
