My '07 220 runs opposite to my 2000 SAN (backs to starboard, instead of port) I thought it was just the 6.0L engine, but it sounds more wide spread. It really threw me off the first few times I put it on the trailer. Old habits die hard. However, it helps the surfing wake for us regular footers.

It suprises me that CC made this move, as I thought the old rotation was to protect the skier (pick up on the skier on starboard, back to port). Anyone know a reason for the change?

is that true about 2007 boats having props that spin differently? wont the wakes be a little lop-sided now when there's only a driver and no spotter?

My understanding is that the current model V-drive boats have a left hand propeller, pull starboard in reverse, and mid engine Correct craft boats still have a right hand propeller and pull to port. By the way, that is why the left side of a boat is called port side, it is the side of a boat that is traditionally closest to the dock (port). The right hand prop does balance the weight of the driver. In the V-drive boats, loaded with lots of ballast, it really does not matter what direction the prop turns, and my guess the current V-drive transmission costs less to use in a boat, than to buy a Walters v-drive unit.

As far as I know the 211, the old 210 and the new 220 changed to left hand prop in 2006. Also in 2007 the new 210 and the new 236 are left hand. So every V-drive from 2006 is left-hand prop exept the 226 as far as I know.
Our 2006 210 has the opposite rotation to our 2000 SAN. Don't feel it at wakeboarding, but haven't tried it for surfing.

All great advice! Many thanks for all the sage advice. I can't wait to start practicing this weekend.

I can tell Correct Craft owners are passionate about their boats. Feels great to join such an impressive club. In fact, it was a guy at Correct Craft corporate that told me this was the place to go. Given all the responses, I can now see why he made this recommendation.

The change in rotation is due to a new transmission

You can use some of the same above docking tips for when you are picking up a rider in the water. My old 2004 SV211 pulled to the port side. So when picking up a rider I pass him on the port side and give a little reverse power. That would slide the swim deck over to the rider. Now on the new 2007 210 it pulls to the starboard. Same thing different side. I like the starboard pull better because now the rider is on the driver's side and much easier to see.

Get the boat out in the water practice spinning it around in and out of gear get use to it's response spent about two weeks with my wife now she docks and picks up at the lauch ramp dock no problems. When picking up a skier always come around starboard side to skiersas mentioned above post.

This is perfect! I have never driven an inboard and my 211 will be in mid-June. Give us the whole bag of tricks. I would rather my boat not look like my pickup after just a couple of weeks. When pulling into a slip, should you still approach at 45 degrees or go straight in?

45 degrees then reverse, not straight in *** in tends to wonder left or right!

10 years ago or so, my dad had a pretty sweet 71 Martinique. I was just pulling it up to a friends dock, headed towards it, to use reverse to straighten her out. This particular dock was one that "hangs" from the seawall.....i.e. no legs or posts. Just as I went for reverse.....the **** thing died. I went under the dock with the bow and destroyed the bow light, not to mention some pretty good scratches. The good news....one new bow light and a bit of buffing....good as new. It was a CC, afterall!
